Starting daycare

Today I called the daycare center where Sasha will be going and finalized all the details. Our little miss is starting on September 13 (a little less than 2 weeks away) with half-days. When I asked the owner when I am supposed to pick her up, he said to call at around 11am to see how she's doing and if she's ok, to come by at 12-12:30pm. Yeah right! I have a feeling she'll be freaking out and crying the entire time she's there. Sigh. I;m making Z come with us the first few times to help peel Sasha off me, should be fun!
In all seriousness, though, I know it'll be so good for her and I can definitely use some free time. A bunch of doctor appointments to catch up on, a messy apartment to clean. Maybe even go fall clothes shopping for myself (imagine that!!) I just need to keep telling myself that after a while (a short while), we'll all be happy with this.
Oh, and she turns 2 in four days!! Who told her it was ok to grow up so fast? And birthday party in five days, let's just hope the weather is nice for an outdoor party!

Wow, a day all to myself is like a hazy dream for me! I keep my kids home for an extended period of time, so only my 6 year old is in school. My 4 y.o. and almost 2 year old are gonna be home this school year. Although next year I am sending my 4 year old out (when he will be 5) and my baby has special needs so she will need to go to a school in order to continue receiving therapy, so then I'll have all the kids out of the house. It's such a weird idea for me! LOL

Good luck, and remember that you can always back out if it doesn't work... or even skip days here and there for no good reason, if you or Sasha feel like it.

Happy upcoming birthday! We're having one in a month. :)

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm confident that she'll like it, after the initial adjustment period (so that's really the only thing I'm worried about). I feel like she'll benefit from it so much!
And thanks for birthday wishes!
