Today, Max is 3 months old. I can't believe how fast the time flew by and how big he's getting! He's got such a cute personality already, he loves to smile and giggle. Especially when he sees Sasha, I'm pretty sure she's his favorite person right now (ok, I might be tied for that spot, in the middle of the night when he's hungry) He figured out how to turn to the side about a week ago, but doesn't seem too impressed with that. He can now tolerate tummy time for a good 15 minutes at a time (which really seems to be helping with his previously flat/misshaped head) He sleeps in his crib at night, but still naps in his rock-n-play during the day. He's been waking up more often in the past week or so, which sucks, but I'm hoping it's just a phase. Generally, he's just a super happy laid back baby.
Tonight, Sasha and I went on a "date" to see Madagascar 3! She was so excited to be going to the movie theater and kept telling papa at dinner all about the animals. I think her favorites were Alex the Lion and Stefano the Sea Lion.
Dancing at the end of the movie (while the credits rolled). Man, this child needs a haircut!
Yes, she made me take a picture of her drying her hands in the bathroom!
We went to Picture People yesterday to get Max's 3-month pictures done. Fully intending on purchasing a few photos and being done with that. Yeah, that didn't happen. We liked the pictures so much that we ended up buying one of the packages, which came with a picture frame, disc with all the photos, and a yearly membership! We're suckers for cute pictures of our kids!
On Friday, Sasha's school had a summer recital/graduation for the K class. We all attended and loved it! The kids did such an amazing job. We're so very thankful we found this school for Sasha - she does so well there and does so well!
It was super hot and we didn't have our hats - so we used Max's burp cloth (a clean one!)
Happy Fathers' day to my husband. The guy who got the first smile from his daughter (Max totally smiled at me first!) The guy who held her little tiny hand the past almost 4 years. The guy who gets up with Max at 5am to feed him. The guy who still doesn't know how to swaddle properly (but it's ok, it's all about team work, I'm a master swaddler ;)) The guy who'd give anything up for his kids. The guy who taught Sasha, who's afraid of just about anything, how fun and awesome pools are (you should see this child attempt to dive!) The guy who is so sweet and loving with his kiddos.
And happy Fathers' day to my own, papa. The guy who held my hand whenever I needed him. The guy who helped me make my costume for a drama club performance. The guy who held me when I was in tears over a boy who broke my heart. The guy who will do absolutely anything for his daughters (and the grandkids too).
I love you both very very much!
And to all the wonderful dads out there, happy fathers' day!
I belong to a FB group with other moms who also had babies in March. We were together on a forum since finding out we were pregnant and moved onto Facebook. There we like to do something we call Fashion Friday, where we take pictures of kiddies in super cute (or sometimes silly) outfits and show them off. So I thought I'd do that here on the blog too, since it's so much fun!
The first two are from last week and the last two are from today (Sasha's school had a graduation ceremony/recital and kiddo was a ladybug)
