DC bound tomorrow!

Tomorrow afternoon, we leave for Washington DC. We're all packed and ready to go. Suitcases are waiting to be loaded into the car. Snacks and bottles of water are ready. Stuffed animals are snug (though probably cramped) in suitcases. The kiddo is excited about seeing a hippo at the Zoo (though I'm not even sure there are any there). Z is excited about the Air and Space Museum. I'm thrilled to be meeting up with old friends from college whom I haven't seen in a long long time. And most importantly, we're excited about this family time, exploring a new city, and showing our kiddo how amazing and enriching travel is!
