Five days, three hundred pictures, 1 (slight) sunburn, and countless memories later, we're back in NY, getting back into the routine. The suitcases are still unpacked (ok, half-unpacked, but hey, the laundry's done - that should count for something, right?) We still need to go food shopping and put everything away. And I'm slower than usual on editing photos from this trip.
We had a great time though, Sasha really liked the Zoo (she is two and a half after all!) and the Natural History Museum. She slept and napped wonderfully, letting us sleep in till 8am (and once till 8:30!!) The drive there and back wasn't awful either, I was a little nervous about how she'd do, but we brought a lot of small toys, some snacks, new coloring books and stickers, and quite possibly the greatest toy ever, Fisher-Price Doodle, which she instantly figured out and loved! We saw some good friends, visited some cool museums and just walked around the city. It was really nice to get away and spend this time together!
